This area is a swath of public land that’s rich in natural beauty and biodiversity and, importantly, these are critical wins for Indigenous communities and future generations. We join the Gwich'in Steering Committee, Tribal Governments and Iñupiat allies in celebrating this announcement and thanking the Biden administration. We’ve been working with our friends in Alaska for the last two decades to protect communities, conserve land and fight the climate crisis.
