Lost myself again in Yokohama. Places, both old and new, where I can feel the accumulation of time, radiate an energy that envelops me with elegance. It tells me at the same time that one day I too will be like this, and that I must still have more time than I think. When I hold my camera up as I walk, I feel as if this formless spirit is gliding over subject and gently inviting me. I naturally frame and click as my heart moves. My own petty impatience, anxiety, worries, and frustration are enveloped in it, and before I know it, they have vanished. No doubt, I am now chasing that energy. It is modest, generous, and graceful.

新旧問わず、時の積み重ねを大きく感じられる場所は、自分を包んでくれる優雅なエネルギーを放っている。それは、自分もいつかはこうなるのだということ、まだまだ思っているより時間があるはずだということを同時に教えてくれる。歩きながらカメラを構えていると、その形を持たない精神のようなものが、被写体にのりうつり、やさしく誘ってくるような感覚になる。自然とカメラを向けて心の赴くままにシャッターを押す。自分のちっぽけな焦り、不安、悩み、苛立ちはそれに包まれていつのまにか消え去っている。間違いない、今自分はそのエネルギーを追っているのだ。それはただただ慎ましく、おおらかで、優雅である。
