To understand who we truly are as people we first need to understand where we came from. So many aspects of returning to Ireland after 28yrs reminded me of my childhood. Whilst Dublin was bustling with life and we shopped, saw traditional Irish dancers and rode horses, I felt so at peace in the rolling green countryside with its slow pace of life, patience and kindness all around. To better understand the religious divide of Ireland and the struggles so many have faced (and still face today) because of it made me view this beautiful land in an entirely different way. My heart aches for all who have been hurt and lost loved ones; in coming together and healing from the past there is freedom.
