『コーヒーが映える照明の撮影ノート』

カフェの雰囲気はコーヒーを取り巻く環境がむしろ大切で、中でも照明はもっとも大事な要素のひとつです。かつてアトリエで、カフェを真似た写真をたくさん撮っていた時期がありました。

脚立を使った高所から撮影したり、人物のシルエットと照明を重ね合わせたり、照明の反射やガラスの映り込みを活用したり、調光器による繊細な光量調整など、さまざまな撮影方法を試していました。

コーヒーそのものよりも、それを取り巻く環境に焦点を合わせることで、カフェや喫茶店の魅力を引き立つように思います。今回はそんな撮影のおはなし。

The ambiance of a cafe is not just about coffee, but rather the environment that surrounds it. Among these, lighting plays one of the most crucial roles. There was a time when I took countless photos in an atelier, mimicking the cafe ambiance.

I experimented with various photography methods: shooting from high points using a ladder, overlaying silhouettes with lighting, utilizing light reflections and glass reflections, and delicately adjusting light intensity with dimmers.

I believe that focusing on the environment surrounding the coffee, rather than the coffee itself, highlights the charm of cafes and coffeehouses.
