Hakata Dontaku Festival - A 840-Year-Old Traditional Event✨✨
The Hakata Dontaku Festival is a traditional folk event that originated around 840 years ago from the former Hakata Matsubayashi Festival.
Everyone from the city participates in this festival, which is held every year on May 3 and 4.
It is known as one of Japan's biggest festivals, with over 2 million participants from inside and outside Japan.😲
One of its highlights is the parade of unique "Dontaku-tai" dance groups, all dressed in colorful costumes, which charms many spectators while passing through Meiji Street!👀✨
