As the global directing and coordinating authority on international health work, the WHO plays a major role in promoting public health and tackling humanitarian crises. For 75 years, the WHO has brought member states together to improve access to healthcare for all and prepare for infectious disease outbreaks. As a small state, Singapore actively participates in the WHO and works with it to promote public health. Last year, the @moh_singapore launched a major healthcare system reform, Healthier SG, to help all Singaporeans take steps towards better health. This is in line with the WHO’s vision of “Health for All”. We also strongly support the role of the WHO in pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response. Singapore is proud to contribute our technical expertise in WHO expert groups, and will continue to support the WHO’s good work. Singapore is committed to building up our healthcare system, and investing in better health and quality of life for everyone.
