Hi everyone! Professor @lisasolomon here, mixed media artist and author of @a_field_guide_to_color and the newly released #thecolormeditationdeck from @roostbooks, with a new watercolor lesson!

One of the BEST things about #watercolor is how you can use water to change the look and feel of what you are working on. Today I’m going to show you some simple #wetintowet and #blooming techniques where you can explore the unpredictability of watercolor to your advantage.

I’m just doing these in a sketchbook, but if you try these techniques out, think about how you can use them in your work to fill in areas, to create textures, and to mix colors in new ways.
