Hi everyone! It's Professor @lisasolomon here, mixed media artist and author of @a_field_guide_to_color and the newly released #thecolormeditationdeck from @roostbooks, for the next installment of your watercolor lesson.

Today I’m going to walk you through how to create a #flatwash with #watercolor. It’s a technique that some people have trouble with, but once you get it down is really useful to have in your arsenal. You can use any kind of watercolors to do this, I’m demo-ing with the #sakurakoi tube set that I’ve placed in a palette.

Also the person who I mention who talks about hot press being like a hot iron went over the paper is my dear friend and fellow artist @ccerruti.

I use a couple of different kind of brushes to show you that this technique is achievable with different sizes and shapes.
