ニューヨーク・タイムズさんのインスタグラム写真 - (ニューヨーク・タイムズInstagram)「Spike Lee’s children are this year’s Golden Globe ambassadors, the first Black siblings selected for the role.⁣ ⁣ Coincidentally or not, Satchel Lee and Jackson Lewis Lee were selected to be Golden Globe ambassadors, a largely ceremonial role traditionally reserved for the children of Hollywood’s elite, the same year that their father was snubbed for his Vietnam veteran drama “Da 5 Bloods.” Other prominent Black creators and actors such as Michaela Coel were also snubbed. ⁣ ⁣ “We’re excited to be the first siblings of color,” @satchellee said. “We’ll do it, so then you don’t have to say this again, because there’s going to be way more.”⁣ ⁣ The siblings said they were used to the fact their father didn’t always receive recognition for his work.⁣ ⁣ The Los Angeles Times recently reported that there were no Black members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the group of 87 journalists who choose the Golden Globe nominees and winners.⁣ ⁣ As Golden Globes ambassadors, each of the siblings get a $25,000 grant to donate to an organization of their choosing. @sirjacksonlewislee, the first Black man to be an ambassador, chose Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, a one-to-one mentoring organization.
