The main shift in consciousness that we should all aspire to achieve is to focus on loving ourselves as individuals rather than brooding over the idea of other people loving us in order to feel loved. More often than not, our mood, emotions and the outcome of a day - whether it be good or bad - is determined by others and the interactions that we receive. If people are nice to us we feel good and have a nice day, if people are unkind then we feel bad and deem it to be a bad day. Placing such importance on others actions, which are all entirely outside of our control, makes us helpless in our own lives because our entire wellbeing depends on others. Instead we need to look inward and recognise that every day can be filled with love, light and positivity if we simply stop putting the onus onto others. If people around you create a negative atmosphere or cause you to feel stress, worry and sadness then please remove them from your life, they are not necessary or good for you.
