Polar Opposites - Taking a short break from photography in Antartica (Pic 1) is a completely different experience than doing the same in the Kalahari desert (Pic 2). In Antartica I catch my breath and “chill” on the edge of a iceberg, under the watchful gaze of Adelie penguins. In the Kalahari the silky soft sand is a welcome respite for my tired legs, I just have to be on guard for ticks and ants crawling up my pants. After a few months off instagram I am back online :-) I was preoccupied making new photographs on expeditions and assignments to Antarctica and the Kalahari.
