Women in leadership. Women holding the system accountable. Women making the world more equitable for all, preserving dignity and unquestionable rights. That is the world I want to see. That’s the world I caught a glimpse of when I watched how the powerful leadership of Stacey Abrams helped empower traditionally disenfranchised voters. We have gone through so much in the last year, and still more as we commenced 2021. How do we learn and move forward? Who do we look to? How do we make sure the vote of the people is considered sacred and that facts are not negotiable?

This month we focus on how women around the world define good governance by the integrity they believe the world needs. The women who boldly put forth a vision that allows for true progress and inclusion; for stability and well being. We also highlight how their work keeps our eyes on the struggles women face during the global pandemic, we celebrate women who broke the mold and brought forth new order in their nations when they were at the brink. Female heads of state who managed the pandemic in a way that blatantly outpaced male leaders and saved countless lives.
