So here we go! The key factor in the pricing of Indiebride dresses is that they are handmade and the capacity on how many dresses can be made in a year is limited. The revenue from those dresses needs to cover quite a bit. When you place an order for an Indiebride dress, roughly ⅕ of the money you pay covers the materials and ⅖ the labor and the overhead costs of the time that went into making the dress. The rest is profit that goes into developing the brand. Here’s a little breakdown: ⭐Materials include fabrics, lace trimmings, threads, interfacing, buttons, elastics etc. The fabrics we use cost something from £20 to £70 a meter. One Indiebride dress requires 6-10 meters of fabric ⭐Labor = my salary which covers the time I spend making your dress. ⭐Overhead costs are all the expenses that running a business requires, such as rent, website, broadband, equipment leasing and upkeep, all the software and programs, scissors, rulers, pattern paper etc. ⭐Developing the brand includes for example marketing (software, apps, ads etc.), making new collections, fabric sourcing (fabric fairs etc.) and my salary for the time I spend doing these jobs. Running a small business and producing ecological wedding dresses is pricey but I’m not willing to cut corners when it comes to our ethical and sustainable ethos. I hope this post helps you understand better what you are paying for. You’re not paying for someone’s third holiday home. You’re paying for someone to make a living doing what they do best: for the personal service I offer, the quality materials of our dresses, the design and the process of having your dress handmade from scratch by me. I still do a little happy dance for every order I get and will be ever grateful to my brides who trust me to make the most important dress of their lives. ❤️ Miina xx Photo & Retouch: @lauraviktualiaphoto Models: @jazzfrenchie & tuyet_my_modelpage Makeup: @rosielindfield91from @stylesisters_uk Hair: @emmamayhairfrom @stylesisters_uk」1月29日 17時10分 - indiebride.london
