One thing that might set your mind at ease, is to know that here at Indiebride, your appointment will be completely private. No other brides and their guests staring at you while you try on dresses. Also, here are a few tips to get the most out of your appointment.⁠ ⁠ 1. It might sound like a good idea to visit all your favourite boutiques and showrooms in one day, but believe me, trying on dresses is not a walk in the park. I recommend max 3 appointments a day. Especially in hot weather, you’ll be knackered after the third appointment. ❤️⁠ ⁠ 2. Try not to bring too many guests. It is good to have family and/or friends with you as they know you the best. But having too many guests might mean that you will be overwhelmed with all their opinions. It’s your day after all and you are the one who decides what you want to wear on your wedding day. I recommend max 5 guests. ❤️⁠ ⁠ 3. Keep an open mind. You might have a clear idea of the dress you want to wear on your wedding day, but over the years, I have learned that this initial idea quite often changes into something completely different. ❤️⁠ ⁠ 4. You might love a blingy fishtail dress with a huge train but if your reception venue is a barn, that might not be the best choice of dress. Take the style of your wedding venue in consideration when choosing your dress. ❤️⁠ ⁠ 5. Look for a dress style that you feel confident and beautiful in your current shape. Choose a dress that you love now. One that makes you love yourself the way you are. ❤️⁠ ⁠ 6. Make sure that the dress allows you to comfortably sit, dance, ceilidh, eat, play and whatever activity you have planned for your wedding day. You want to forget that you’re wearing a wedding dress and enjoy your day.
