Sponsorships go far beyond business in my eyes. Over the years you build friendships with fellow team athletes and the people working at the companies.
@dmm_wales was my first ever sponsor from when I was thirteen years old. I proudly called myself "sponsored" athlete after receiving 14 quickdraws. Since that time though DMM was always been supporting me on my way to becoming a professional climber.
From this year on I won't be sponsored by DMM anymore, due to personal reasons. I'm changing the direction I am going as an athlete and that comes with some changes too. Thank you for 14 years of support, tea, sketchy trad and the feeling of being part of a family. I'm grateful to have shared a path together.
