Being in the public eye I have people asking me all the time “Are you single?” “Are you dating?” “Are you married” “Do you want to settle down?” Woah! It’s 2021 not 1921! I don’t NEED to follow archaic ideals and outdated social normals to be happy; my private life is PRIVATE and I do not wish to share my relationship status online. I’ve been there, done that and got the t-shirt; I was engaged to be married at a very young age as was tradition, I had two children by the age of 25yrs and devoted my entire life to somebody who was too young, miserable and careless to be faithful. So here I am a grown woman with beautiful grown children loving living my life on MY terms and doing what makes ME happy. Yet all people are concerned about is when I will settle down; how about NONE of us just SETTLE for anything in life and instead we all find, and do, what brings us the most joy and happiness instead of being in loveless relationships crying into a pillow at night over an undeserving partner not being affection enough, considerate or faithful. Please do not waste all of the amazing opportunities and breathtaking adventures that you can have in life by following false ideals and joining the crowd just to please others.
