Rediscover Fukushimaさんのインスタグラム写真 - (Rediscover FukushimaInstagram)「Hatsumode (初詣・はつもうで) is a Japanese word that refers to the first visit to a Shinto shrine or Bhuddhist temple in the New Year. Typically, this visit happens on the first, second, or third of January; all days that most Japanese people have off from work as part of the national holiday. This year, to avoid crowds, people are requested to stagger their visits throughout January or visit smaller local shrines and temples in their area.⛩🥰 This year I visited Takayashiki shrine in Koriyama city, a small local shrine with a striking resemblance to the more famous #FushimiInariShrine in Kyoto! This shrine was really beautiful and fun to visit. There were even some cute fluffy chickens and one of the shrine priests gave me some crackers to feed them, it was really nice! ⛩🐓💕 People visit the shrine to buy lucky charm and make wishes for the new year. Charms from the previous year will be left here to be burned. 🔥 A popular activity to do when visiting a shrine is to buy a paper fortune, after reading the fortune its common to tie it to designated strings to be burned. At Takayashiki shrine they offered fortunes with an English translation which I thought was really cool! I really recommend paying a visit to this shrine.📜⛩🤩 Learn more about Fukushima on Facebook, Instagram, and our website! https://fukushima.travel 🏷 ( #Hatsumode #はつもうで #初詣 #Shrinevist #VisitFukushima #Fukushimagram #Fukushima #FukushimaPrefecture #TakayashikiShrine #高屋敷神社 #Japan #JapanTrip #japanaesthetic #Japanwinter #TravelJapan #JapanTravel #Travel #TravelAsia #Kyoto #FushimiInariShrine #Fushimiinarishrinelookalike #anime #JapaneseLesson #2021travel #2020travel #Japan2020 #NorthernJapan #Tohoku #東北 )」1月8日 10時43分 - rediscoverfukushima
