It’s a very popular local festival in Fukushima Prefecture that takes place every January in Iizaka Onsen Town.　✨ These little birds are hand-carved from a single block of wood so that it looks as though this little bird is perched on a tree stump or a block of wood, with his or her tail feathers out behind them.
