Right now this manga is super popular in Japan, I hope that you check it out because it’s one of my favorites! 😍 The real life Ookawaso Ryokan looks exactly like the fictional Mugen Castle that is featured in this manga. You can visit the Ookawaso Ryokan in Ashinomaki Onsen in Fukushima Prefecture. ♨️ On the day that I visited, there was rice cake (mochi) making, and even a live shamisen performance! I was so thrilled to experience this traditional entertainment at the hot springs. The hot springs were incredible here, the open-air bath looks out on a view of the valley. Soaking in the onsen water and watching the snow as it fell was really special and I hope that you can experience this sometime in Fukushima! 🥰 Oh yeah, this ryokan is actually super close to some other cool places like Ouchi-juku and Tono-Hetsuri which are beautiful in the snow.
