Much the same, I am extremely thankful as well as extremely tired as I walk through the turn of pages and clocks into one year from out the other. Juxtaposition and duality. They are ever present themes and I have been intimately acquainted in living and holding opposites existing simultaneously. I have learned it is entirely possible to have solid inner peace and still feel the intensity of life from big to small to petty in the processing out its ever present nuances. . I share a handful of ramblings and musings here but I keep the bulk of inner thoughts and life experiences for the privacy of unshared journal pages and my closest people. For awhile now I’ve been in a slow and even slower pace and haven’t been as accessible or responsive in online spaces. I’ve deleted apps and been a bit recluse creating distance from time on my phone in order to tend to my heart. It’s the first time in a long while where I’ve given myself this gift of time and space, truly so, to tend to inner caverns and the whisper within it. And it has been transformative and gentle and wild and wondrous and messy and scary and revealing and worthy. I’m still in its thick and relishing every dollop of this extra extraordinary expanse. . I’m not even sure why I’m sharing this other than to say it’s okay if you’re walking into the new year quietly, or messily, or in the thick, with the duality of having resilient peace and a whole lot of tiredness, of newness and still in the process of laying down things of old. It never really stops, the growth, the shedding, the renewing, the evolving, and all the phases of metamorphosis.
