I prefer starting new pages and books right in the turning. There is a magic in that space. Hibernation mode is fully afoot and I am enjoying the extra quiet to attune to the still and small within the heart. Lots of noticing in the musings of late, much without judgment one way or another, more just taking note and adjusting the chords for a lovely harmony. In the noticing I’ve discovered how uncharted notions can turn things sideways and upside down. Things that I feel I should like, I’ve discovered I really don’t. Other areas where I feel like I should feel good in connection to whatever it is, I find myself feeling drained. In the growing, there is a quiet outgrowing. Sometimes I hardly notice it until one day things just don’t fit anymore and are quite uncomfortable. In this particular turn of seasons, I’ve let be with it and dare I say enjoy it. It’s a fruitful process and one that’s been nourishing and filling. I don’t have all my ducks lined up for the new year and I’m taking things slow. No more rushed pressure or prodding, but rather mindful strides with pauses and noticing, attuning and adjusting, with much gratitude in the laying down and opening anew. . . . .
