Photos by @Tim Laman. Blue Jay over-the-shoulder look. Even though I’m in my backyard, I like to photograph birds in their natural environment, so I set up my feeder right at the edge of the woods behind my house, so that I can photograph birds perched in the trees, bushes, and vine tangles (like the second shot) when they are on their way to the feeder. Even if the images are a little messy in composition, I like the authentic feel in these shots. What do you think?
