I believe life gives us tests of hardship that it knows we can endure and overcome. The greater the pain, the greater our inner strength. Or perhaps I choose to see it that way because I do not know how else. How else to make sense of it all. Because without faith, hope and love, I would not be the person I am today.

At times when I feel lonely, I am comforted by the fact that I still have myself. Learning to peel back layers of who I am in order to understand. My unwavering persistence of pushing through exists only because of my desires. A desire to fully exist in being, a desire to live surrounded by beauty. But a beauty that only I can see. And perhaps someday you will join me.
