Executed in 1982 during Keith Haring’s breakout year in New York’s art scene, ‘Untitled [Twenty-Three Works]’ was formerly in the collection of photographer David LaChappelle, who purchased the work from Tony Shafrazi Gallery. The works on paper display Haring’s bold marker drawings, capturing a language that he began forming with his early 1980s subway drawings.
