thephotosocietyさんのインスタグラム写真 - (thephotosocietyInstagram)「Photograph by @andyparkinsonphoto/@thephotosociety Mountain hare rolling – Images like this one do not often happen by chance. We’d already identified that this was a repetitive behaviour displayed by our beloved Lady, one that usually occurred after her fur had become clogged by either falling or windblown snow, this technique was one that she engaging in in order to dry herself. Luck of course has to play her significant part, but so did the positioning of both Lady and myself because for this image to work I had to have the right perspective. Lady for her part had to avoid the temptation to roll sideways into a little hollow, thereby obscuring my view, as had happened on multiple previous occasions. When she did eventually roll in the right place it was as usual, writhing and thrashing enthusiastically on the ground, legs kicking and akimbo she was a photographers worst nightmare. Trying to keep the focussing point on her eye was issue number one, hoping that I could keep her unpredictable leg movements in the frame was issue number two. Then I had to hope that at some point she would look at me, mid thrash, which fortunately she did. I don’t know how many images I shot in this sequence but this is the only one that I’ve processed, an image borne out of luck, luck and a little bit of endeavour. @nikonuknordic Nikon D4s, Nikon 200-400mm F4 lens, 1/2000sec at F5.6, ISO 400」10月27日 9時30分 - thephotosociety
