A mentor teaches the mentee everything they know about a certain area. The mentee is positively influenced and moves forward, enlightened, on the path to success ✨✨ . But not everyone has resources, time, or emotional labor to dedicate towards a mentor/ee relationship. So what if we #reset the mentor approach? 💁🏻‍♀️ . I’ve had many mentors-for-a-moment who taught me unexpected lessons that stuck for years. Not all of them were positive... but all were powerful. It proves that everyone has potential to be both a mentor and a mentee depending on context, perspective, and equal parts willingness to teach and to learn. . As I reset my normal, I’m reframing what it means to be a mentor. I want to teach and be taught. I want to reframe mentorship as a lifestyle, a mindset perhaps. Mentorship as a moment, an act of inclusivity (made with permission ‼️) towards someone who might need some help. But also mentorship as a willingness to learn from those same souls we interact with. #Menteeship ? 😋 . It’s an evolving journey.
