As part of @ステラ・マッカートニー's A-Z, a manifesto spelling out its focus for the future, the brand has enlisted @alexisrael to create an artwork representing 'H' for humour.
‘We speak about serious things here when we talk about the environment and animal welfare, so it’s important to lighten the tone and use a humorous approach,’ McCartney says.
Israel's accompanying artwork was conceived in Bronson Canyon in his LA hometown, and features the H from the Hollywood sign taking a stroll through its surrounding residential roads. ‘“H” also stands for home, Hollywood, hiking, and heist,’ Israel explains. ‘I had a vision of the H from the Hollywood sign hitch-hiking through the hills…or maybe it was hijacked?’' Israel says.
