As the new art directors of Italian brand @acerbis_design, Francesco Meda and David Lopez Quincoces spent time delving into the archive, uncovering classic pieces from bygone collections.

Their findings are presented in this film, Sinestesia, which is shot entirely on 16mm and produced manually without any filters or digital effects, as a nod to the decades-long roots of these visionary designs. Drawing on the neurological phenomena Synesthesia, the film visualises the sensations of shapes, colors, and sounds seen throughout the collection.

‘Objects possess a life of their own — more than a mere unity of materials, every creation engenders a universe of emotions, history, and the ideas that produced it,’ they say.
