This is enhanced by the textured surface of the canvas, achieved through the application of sand. The piece also brings together the universal languages of art and music, named 'Goyescas' after a piano suite written in 1911 by Spanish composer Enrique Grandos, who in turn was inspired by the work of Francisco Goya.
