Has anyone ever told you that you are what you eat? Well, in the case of the koala, that isn’t too far from the truth. When these marsupials aren’t sleeping, which they do for 18 to 22 hours a day, they’re busy feasting on eucalyptus leaves. They consume more than one pound of eucalyptus leaves a day, which in some cases is enough that they actually take on the smell of eucalyptus!
