Photo by @michaelchristopherbrown / During the 32nd annual Oglala Lakota Nation Wacipi and Fair, held in 2017 on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, Lil’ Miss Oglala Nation contestants (of the Oglala Sioux Tribe) line up for a parade. Held the first weekend of August, the fair includes a carnival, a powwow, a rodeo, horse races, golf, parade, softball, baseball, fishing derby, horse shoe tournament, volleyball, basketball, and a hand drum contest.
