I respect that people have different opinions about politics and it can be a touchy subject, but democracy is important and starting conversations about the world we want to live in is a first step. I personally think that climate change is the most pressing issue facing humanity. Between my travels abroad and the places I’ve revisited time and again (like Yosemite), it’s clear that our planet’s climate is changing and that the results will be disastrous for all of us - exacerbating existing inequalities, and making things harder for every living being. So in that vein, I’ve spent time looking into both presidential candidates and their plans to make sure America is rising to meet this unique moment and contributing positively to the future of the earth. There is only one candidate who has a comprehensive environmental platform that puts us on that path. And that is why I will be voting Biden-Harris in November. Their proposals to ban new fossil fuel development on public lands and conserve 30% of America’s lands and waters by 2030 will have tremendous implications for climate (and for climbing…). There’s a lot more you can check out on their website. It’s not all that is needed, but it is the most progressive environmental platform that any major candidate has ever put forward. I will continue to push whenever and wherever I can to strengthen public access and environmental protections, but voting for the people who will be working at least in the right direction is one important and meaningful thing I can do. I hope you’ll also think about your values and the world that you want to help create, and make sure to vote (and do other things) to make that world a reality. @joebiden @kamalaharris」9月22日 1時07分 - alexhonnold
