We had a blast climbing The Xue Way - 20 pitch 5.12a A0 - though it felt incredibly hot on the sunny south face. The climbing followed incredible dike features back and forth across the face, which was fun and novel but I found it slightly frustrating to be climbing sideways and not up. The wall feels a lot bigger when you don’t go straight up. But it was a fun and safe addition to the wall - definitely the most accessible way for anyone to climb the South Face of HD if they’re interested. Nothing but respect for the team that did the first ascent - it must have been an insane amount of work.
