While the Atlantic is certainly busy with tropical activity, the Summer of 2020 couldn’t hold a candle to the East Coast’s best-ever summer for tropical surf, the Summer of 1995. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of that momentous season, Surfline resurrected Matt Pruett’s (@pruettnam) original, long-form 2012 story, decorated with classic imagery from legendary surf photographer and Eastern Surf Magazine co-founder Dick “Mez” Meseroll, (@mezapixels) who's currently en route to Pruett’s crib in Nags Head to cover the ESA Eastern Surfing Championships. Because some things never change.
