Category 4 Hurricane Laura makes a catastrophic landfall near the Texas-Louisiana border after midnight. Large swell from the storm built rapidly this afternoon and quickly drops back down on Thursday. Cams in Texas, well to the south of the storm, show Laura’s waves and weather from a safe distance (link in the bio).
