Rate my lampshade out of 10 please?💡 Then click the link in my bio to see more of me 🔥I remember growing up I felt under so much pressure to “fit in” to be accepted because I was so very clearly an outsider - I wasn’t part of the cool kids, just an awkward shy geek which worked great for gaining a strong education but not so much street cred. I’m naturally dark blonde and experimented with so many different hair colours growing up from black to blue, green, brown, peroxide blonde and red. I listened to rock music as well as garage, classical and r&b so I didn’t really fall into a specific box or type of person - I’ve never been popular yet got on with everyone because I don’t judge people and treat others as I’d like to be treated. I had no clue about makeup (and honestly still don’t) got my first tattoo at the age of 14yrs shortly followed by 21 piercings; I know what you’re thinking - yup and yup. I’ve always been an old soul and my teachers treated me more like an adult, chatting to me like we were mates and asking me if the “rumours were true” everytime I got new ink and piercings in interesting places! I was the ultimate wild child and rebel testing the limits and rules of what was acceptable, yet at the same time played chess, gained A* grades and lived in the library over delivering on all of my work way ahead of schedule. My fascination for juxtaposition in life has only grown stronger with age; I still don’t think that I fit into a stereotype per say, but can identify with many at once. I’m calm, gentle and kind hearted yet can be wild, strong and adventurous. Nothing much scares me in life anymore, probably because I’ve experienced and faced my worst fears head on; if the worst thing that can happen to you happens then the only way is up right? We grow through what we go through! We certainly don’t have to live up to other peoples ridiculous, archaic expectations and unrealistic ideals to feel happy, loved and accepted. Be you in every way shape and form possible, all day, everyday, now and forever.
