These plum-head parakeets, along with nearly 300 other birds, have recently made a cross-country move from @pandemoniumaviaries in California to @sylvanheights_birdpark in North Carolina. These two institutions have joined forces to ensure that these parakeets, and many other species survive for generations to come. Both institutions share a commitment to preserving rare and endangered species by maintaining sustainable breeding populations.
