Photo by @amritachandradas A marine iguana sunbathes at Tortuga Bay on Santa Cruz Island, Galápagos. Marine iguanas are the only ocean-swimming lizards in the world. They are only found on the Galápagos Islands. Marine iguanas are known for their efficient nasal glands, which allow them to “sneeze” out salt, due to their large intake of sodium while feeding on underwater algae and seaweed.
