It’s crazy that you can have these isolated moments where everything feels totally normal. Even better than normal sometimes, because maybe we appreciate these moments more now. Our bubble friends took us out for our anniversary. They have older kids who watched our kids, so we were a table of six adults at the Stonecreek Inn. It was our first time having a sit down meal at a restaurant. Usually, we consider Stonecreek a winter spot (it’s fancy with an old school mahogany bar and fireplace) but due to COVID, they set up a huge white tent on the lawn with socially distanced tables and a lit up camper that’s used as a bar car. It felt like we were at a wedding. Someone noticed that the old fashioned truck outside looked a lot like the one at our actual wedding, so... of course, we had to recreate the pic in masks. Swipe left. Oh and be sure to zoom into the photobomb from @oldfielde 😂 We had a fantastic time and it really felt like the whole evening breathed new life into our summer of sameness. I have to say, the outdoor tables at restaurants I see everywhere, even if we are just driving by, makes the world look so much friendlier and more inviting. I’ve noticed so many places I never knew existed because of their new COVID set-ups outside. I hope that’s something that stays with us. I hope Stonecreek feels like an outdoor wedding every summer from now on.
