A massive saguaro cactus reaches its curved arms up towards a sunset sky at Saguaro National Park in #Arizona. Sentinels of the American #Southwest, the #saguaro has adapted to survive on little moisture, spreading its roots out in a wide, radial fashion and storing water in its pleats. These amazing #plants grow slowly, eventually reaching higher than 40 feet and living as long as 200 years. While we encourage everyone to appreciate them, please don't try to hug a saguaro. It's covered in spikes. Photo @saguaronationalpark by Tom Arends (www.sharetheexperience.org). #usinterior #RecreateResponsibly
