Here are her tips for transforming your campsite into a cozy place to hang out with family and friends. ⠀ ⠀ 1: Make a nest in your tent so that you look forward to bedtime rather than dreading the hard ground. If you’re car camping, bring a comforter, blankets, and pillows from home to make your bed cozy and welcoming. ⠀ ⠀ 2: Find rocks or stumps to use as tables so that you're not always bending over to ground level. Just remember to use Leave No Trace principles. Leave the environment as you found it.⠀ ⠀ 3: A hammock is a great place to read a book and kids love them as well. Camping hammocks can seat up to 2 people. They’re light, packable, and cost as little as $20. Sling a piece of nylon or weight bearing rope around two adjacent trees, and your hammock is ready for relaxation. ⠀ ⠀ 4: A picnic blanket or thin mat laid out as a rug can add comfort to an uneven campsite.
