This beautiful self-portrait by the greatest of the Dutch Old Masters, #Rembrandt Van Rijn, just realised £14.5 million, setting a new auction record for a self-portrait by the artist at auction.

Dated to 1632, ‘Self-portrait, wearing a ruff and black hat’, is one of only three self-portraits by the artist remaining in private hands, and the only one ever likely to come to auction.
