Long, regular waves—ideal for surfers—come here traveling uninterruptedly from Greenland. Thick wet suits with hoods, booties, and gloves help surfers stay in the water, where the temperature is only around 37.5˚F (3˚C), for one to two hours. The payoff is the intensity of the experience and the deep connection with nature.
