Photo by Prasenjeet Yadav @prasen.yadav The woolly hare is a shy and usually solitary animal. Although sometimes active by day, it is mostly nocturnal. It's a bit difficult to imagine this beautiful species surviving in trans-Himalayan extreme cold, but it's incredible to see them jump around. They feed on grasses and herbs and also love to trigger my camera traps all the time. Here is one in front of the trap while it snows. I had set up these traps while working on snow leopards for @insidenatgeo and @snowleopardtrust.
