As winter arrives, inland areas here freeze up first. The frozen ground makes it difficult for the foxes to hunt. Coastal areas, however, are slower to cool, so the foxes migrate here to take advantage of the softer ground. When we arrived at our coastal filming location in mid-autumn, we didn’t see a single fox. But sure enough, as winter approached, the foxes started to appear from all angles.
