My family made fun of me and called me names because of how dark I got, especially in the summer. I would cry, I remember hating my brown skin so much. As a teenager I hated my body shape I was the queen of wearing jackets and sweaters around my waist to hide my butt and legs. I was thin up top and always held weight in my lower body. I’m built like my mom to a T. When I got old enough I got breast implants big ones to take the attention away from everything I didn’t like about myself. Looking back I wish I had stayed natural up top I love natural breasts. It took years to learn that if I decide I’m beautiful that’s all that matters. I don’t need to hear it from other people not even my family. I love my skin color and my body the way god made it. Love comes from within and beauty is how you treat others and yourself. If you feel beautiful you are babe. Teach your kids to love themselves exactly the way they are. Tell them they are beautiful and to see beauty in others. I was the little girl no one told “you are pretty or you are loved” when I turned 18 I was dancing on pole. Not that there is anything wrong with that but there is truth to that saying.
