Here’s a drill that can help you with your green reading skills. Pick a putt that has some slope, put a coin down so you putt from the same spot every time then set up a tee halfway along the putt where you think the apex is & then add a couple of tees at the hole as a gate. Once you’ve hit a few putts and you start to just miss the apex tee on the high side, you’ll quickly realize if you’ve read the putt correctly. If you haven’t readjust until you get it right.
Standing behind this set up will give you a great picture of how much the putt breaks & visually seeing this with your eyes will help you start to read putts better. The gate also helps you see where the center of the hole now becomes & makes sure you are working on your speed at the same time. My 1st attempt started on a good line, just missing the apex tee but lacked a bit of speed and hence hit the lower gate tee. #LDtips #greenreading #staysafe #stayhealthy
