And it's not even halfway over.⁠ ⁠ I’m giving myself space to feel it all. Have you slowed down enough to do that the last few months? What about the past week? Or even just a few minutes of today?⁠ ⁠ It’s heavy. It's heartbreaking. 💔 It's tragic. ⁠ ⁠ I don't know how to actually help, but I want to. Racial equality needs to be our reality. I've struggled with the pressure to say something, when I don't feel like I have the right words or know the best course. And maybe I even shouldn't have answers right now... maybe I need to just listen?⁠ ⁠ I hurt for anyone who’s been killed, harmed or cast into poor light based on discrimination. I ran 2.23 miles for Ahmaud Arbery with tears, thinking how scared he must have been on that run #runformaud. I can't shake it. It was horrific.⁠ ⁠ Lately, we've been having serious and hard conversations with the kids. We talk about George Floyd's death, the protests, Breonna Taylor, Martin Luther King, Jr, racial inequality... and gender inequality. We also talk about not living in fear, but having hope. Believing that love conquers all. Actions speak louder than words. Prayers can move mountains. We're all citizens on planet Earth… and are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God...
