In the late 1890s, LA was one of California's top wine producing regions, with over 90 wineries in Southern California. LA's longest surviving producer, San Antonio Winery, has been in business since 1917, operating through Prohibition, the Great Depression, two World Wars, civil unrest, and more, but is somehow thriving during the coronavirus pandemic. Americans have been drinking record amounts at home, and the family-owned winery is one of the beneficiaries of the booze boom, with a 200 percent increase in wine sales over the last two months. Eater LA reporter @monaeats documents the success and challenges facing LA's unsung winery. Link in bio 🍷 📸 @wonhophoto
