And it’s at home that I’ve been working. Working hard. I turned inward to fix my technique, because I’m not ready to quit! I turned inward to sit with the uncomfortable, the things I was knowingly and unknowingly avoiding. I’ve also tried to be gentle with myself. I’ve searched for fun and creative things to do. I’ve laughed a lot. I’ve cried a lot too. It’s been a mess of horror and beauty. I’ve seen childhood friends and older friends die. I’ve seen many communities come together to support each other. Even new communities have emerged as different people of all different backgrounds are connecting on new and never before seen circumstances. Everyone deals with things differently. Some people are more on edge, some are a little numb, and some are hyper with the energy of what feels like 5 people. All I know is we all have to continue to have patience with ourselves and everyone we communicate with. I send my love, peace and joy out to anyone who needs it. Together we are getting through this, and will continue to do so. Artists will always find a way to entertain, even on our tiny squares at home. Here’s to praying to the spirits that our jobs will be there, ready and waiting, for us to return to doing what we love!
